Giroux / Kuhl Custom Chopper Part I

The bike is missing some details and is not quite road ready, including a lack of any type of charging system for lights or a battery to use as a total loss system but it is one fine looking machine. More on this one in part II.

Marty Pietruszynski's "Bad Seed"

This ride is the epitome of the freaked out, asymmetrical do it to be different era of the late 1960's. I would never build something like it and I don't think anyone else ever will and if they tried I think they would fall short. Some things just belong to a certain time period. Plus the good hallucinogenic drugs required for inspiration are in short supply these days. IF a bike like this is uncovered from the era it should be preserved and highly revered because some things just can not and will not be recreated. The story stresses the point that the Bad Seed is a street bike that is used regularly. That in itself is a trip I would like to take.

Pipe Dream

From Cycle Guides 1969 Custom Annual. A great How-To 100 page magazine on the exploding chopper scene of the time. Definitely worth searching for. I've seen some of the other bikes from the magazine featured in other issues, but I've never seen anything else on the "Pipe Dream". This picture expresses the beauty of the Triumph motorcycle engine so well. Love the contrast of the paint, chrome and polished aluminium. This bike is really interesting with the unique gas tank and what looks to be a really stripped down swingarm design. Anyone know anything more about this one?

Don Marcinak's Show-Go Triumph

Great combination of function and form with engine mods that add plenty of go without sacrificing reliablity.

Alvin Duck's 1953 Custom Pre-unit Triumph

A good profile picture of the complete bike would have been cool instead of the artsy layout. The front end looks kicked out and it is. In the lower picture on the second page you can see that the triple tree has been modified for extra rake.

Modified Triumph Fork Dampners

Pete sent these pics in of some custom dampners he found in a old set of pre-unit forks. Anyone have any info on them or have other custom dampners or modification tips? I like the rebound spring idea. You could put some on stock dampners to lower the forks a bit and get rid of that annoying "CLANK" as your forks shoot back down after hitting a good bump.

Accessories For Offroad Fun & Adventure

If anyone has a pair of these Triumph Dampners made by Webco I would be very interested to buy or do a trade. Or if anyone has one they'd let me borrow so I could copy it and have a batch made. Wonder what the mod to the fork tube was.
