Bitchin' Choppers
Hello, I'm sending these pics for you to post (or not)- they're a little grainy. They are a couple of bikes from my brother Jon's past. The Triumph, if I remember right, was a '57 T-bird engine in a '53 frame. He bought as a dirt bike in about '66 and sold it after getting out of the Army in '70. He did the paint- gold metal flake, made the sissy bar, added the tall bars, a squeeze bulb horn and all the other street necessities. Jon was 17 when he bought it, I was 10. I can't remember the year of the Royal Enfield, but I do remember it had the Indian logo cast into the timing side cover. This picture was taken in '73 and that is his brand new GMC van across the street. The motor seized a day or two after this picture, supposedly due to an incorrect bore. The shop he bought it from repaired it and he sold it as soon as he could. We thought those were a couple of bitchin' choppers back in the day. I still like the Triumph and today is the first time in at least 35 years I've seen either picture - Kevin Haggard

Totally bitchin'. Thanks Kevin!

Triumph Parts Trading
I'm getting ready to let go of some stuff on ebay, but decided to do something different this year and offer parts for trade here first. If you see something your interested in I have a list below of parts I'm looking for. If you have something interesting for sale or trade let me know.

Vintage 1960's type 5" Sport Headlight. As seen on many early choppers and custom show bikes back in the day. I'm surprised that these have not been used much by modern builders.

Now that the big NOS parts supplies have been cleared out I don't know of anyone selling these anymore. Here's one of the last.

Sport light comes with two NOS 12v bulbs that are dual fillament for high and low beam. Head light is wired to suit.

Rigid frame up for trade. Not raked or stretched and has all original lugs. Want a Duplex frame in trade for it. See details below.

Front section is nice, has all original lugs including rare side stand lug and no damage or mods. Front, bottom bolt holes don't match up perfect so the front section may need to be breathed on a bit to line things up.

Rear section is good in that it looks straight and it actually has all the original lugs. No welding or old nasty repairs. It does have a couple areas to be addressed as shown below.

Lower section has middle lugs shortened by moron, probably working towards modifiying frame for unit construction. Easy fix.

The top surface of each axle slot opened up a bit by said moron, but easy to build back up with weld and finish to original condition.

Duplex frame wanted in trade for the early factory rigid I have. Will consider trading the complete rigid frame for just a duplex front section if in good condition. Some missing lugs OK.
Looking for a nice pair of period rigid struts used to replace the shocks on a swingarm Triumph. Prefer the type made from round tubing similar to the picture above. Cash or Trade.
Also looking for:
Factory rear fender braces for rigid frame
Factory chain guard for rigid frame
Factory battery carrier for rigid frame
1-1/4" racing carbs: GP TT Dellorto etc.

PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN TRADED SO FAR HAVE BEEN DELETED
